The Guesthouse

The name of the Guesthouse "Selinounta" is presumed to be the ancient name of Kosmas village, as is described by the ancient traveler and historian ‘Pafsanias’, in his book "Arkadica" in 173 AD.

The two-floor, stone-built Guesthouse, located at the square of the village and opposite St. Anargyroi’s church, was originally constructed in 1906 and housed the traditional wooden-stove village bakery. After the second world war in 1944, it had to be rebuilt due to a fire that burned down the whole village.

In 2006 it was thoroughly reconstructed adopting the regional architecture and use of traditional materials such as stone and wood, in order to function as a Guesthouse.
